Bluebird Counselling & Psychotherapy

Life can only be understood backwards, but it must be lived forwards.

(Søren Kierkegaard)

In the depth of winter, I learned that within me  there lay an invincible summer.

''There's a bluebird in my heart that wants to get out...''

My name is Sabrina Andrews-Webb (she/her) and I'm an accredited integrative counsellor - MNCPS (Acc.)

Counselling sessions

I work face-to-face with clients from my therapy room in the centre of Dawlish, Devon. I also work remotely (via Zoom) for clients who wish to have counselling remotely. You can find out more about where I'm based here.

I have worked with many different people - with different needs - from people living with feelings of stress, depression and anxiety, to people coping with bereavement and people dealing with the ongoing impacts of difficult life experiences. I believe it is possible to find a way through those experiences with compassion and support. I don't ask: 'what's wrong with you?' but rather, 'what happened to you?'

I'm especially passionate about working with people with traumatic life experiences, neurodivergent people and those in the LGBTQ+ community. Subsequently, much of my training post qualification are around these specific areas. In October of 2023 I completed specialist training in working with Trans and Gender-Questioning people with the organisation Gendered Intelligence, in London.

I am a cisgender bisexual and queer woman and I use she/her pronouns. I work in a gender-affirming way. I work with an open, non-judgemental mindset and am Poly/ENM/Kink and BDSM aware. I understand that everyone is different and some have different types of relationship.

I also have the opinion that therapy is political: I work in a way that acknowledges the importance and relevance of current events, political goings-on and overarching power structures that affect my clients. It is important to say that I aim to be anti-oppression and anti-fascist in my work. I also aim to be inclusive for neurodivergent clients; I am happy to make adjustments to sessions where needed.

Our sessions can focus on anything that is important to you. I offer a discounted 30-minute introductory meeting (face-to-face or via Zoom) so that you can decide if I am a good fit for you as a Counsellor. During this meeting, I can explain to you in a little more detail about how I work and you can talk to me more about what you might want to discuss in our therapy sessions together. This is also a great opportunity to ask any questions you might have!

I am dedicated to meeting you where you are in your life and working with you to support you in making positive changes, reconnecting with yourself and making sense of your world.
