Supervision
I am a Counsellor and Psychotherapist who has been in private practice for 3+ years, working remotely and in-person with adult clients from my office in Teignmouth, South Devon and then Dawlish. I also offer Supervision sessions for other Counsellors, both in person and virtually.

What I offer
I provide a safe and confidential reflective space for you to explore your client work and professional development in a trusting and transparent working relationship. I consider myself to be an experienced peer, rather than an authority; my aim is that we will work collaboratively, as much as possible.
I am currently a Supervising Trainee and so the development of my Supervision model is currently fluid and changing as I continue my training. I do utilise the CLEAR model of supervision (Hawkins).
My counselling model is integrative with a strong emphasis on an inclusive and intersectional way of working. I have a Philosophy background – which comes with me into my work with Supervisees and Counselling clients: subsequently I frequently lean into Existentialism and parts work.
I work predominantly with LGBTQIA+, non-binary and questioning people in my therapy practice. I have completed post-qualifying CPD in these areas and have considerable client experience working with this group. I work in a gender-affirming way. I am passionate about EDI and bring a keen awareness of this into my practice both as a therapist and as a supervisor.
I have experience working with neurodiverse individuals and am neurodiverse-affirming in my practice. Wherever possible I try to make adjustments if needed for neurodiverse clients/supervisees in our work together.
I have a strong interest and awareness of the current political climate, current events and systems of power. I am actively anti-fascist and anti-oppression in my practice.
I work in a pluralistic and humanistic way with my supervisees and my aim is to be collaborative, supportive but challenging when appropriate.
I actively encourage supervisees to work in a creative way during our sessions together and to use different ways of working to explore both client work and personal development.

Who I am
I am a human being first and foremost! I aim to be so authentically myself, so that you can be yourself too.
I am a cis, bisexual and queer woman with strong feminist leanings. In my life experience I have often felt ‘othered’, which is why it is so important to me to make space for other psychotherapists who have felt this way in their work.
I have a sense of humour which will become apparent as we work together. I believe this is essential to the work we do!
